CALL TO
ORDER: The Regular Meeting
of the Village Board of the Village of Lake Villa was called to order at 8:00 p.m. on April 8, 2009 at the Lake Villa Village Hall.
SALUTE THE FLAG: The Pledge of Allegiance was led
by Mayor Loffredo.
ROLL CALL: Roll call indicated
the following present: Mayor Loffredo; Clerk
Brownlee; Attorney Bateman, Trustees Effinger, Harms, McDonald and Trkla. Trustees Dykstra and Hall were absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called
to order.
MINUTES: It was moved by Tr. Effinger and seconded by
Tr. McDonald to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of the Village Board
of March 25, 2009.

Business
Registration It was moved by
Tr. Harms and seconded by Tr. McDonald to direct Attorney Bateman to send
Business Registration late notices to those in arrears.
ROLL CALL VOTE WAS: AYES: 4 MOTION CARRIED
FINANCE:
Accounts
Payable It was moved
by Tr. McDonald and seconded by Tr. Trkla to approve the accounts payable for
invoices on or before April 8, 2009
in the amount of $253,841.37.

ORDINANCES &
LICENSES:
2009-04-01
SWALCO It was moved by Tr.
Trkla and seconded by Tr. Harms to adopt Ordinance 2009-04-01, “AN ORDINANCE CONSENTING TO THE CITY OF
HIGHWOOD AS AN ADDITIONAL MEMBER OF THE SOLID WASTE AGENCY OF LAKE COUNTY,
ILLINOIS (SWALCO) WITH NO LATE FEE.”

BUILDING & ZONING:
Waive Permit
Fee It was moved by
Tr. Effinger and seconded by Tr. Harms to waive the permit fees assessed to the
Village of Lake Villa for the OSLAD Park Restrooms.

ADJOURNMENT: It was moved by Tr. Effinger and seconded by
Tr. Harms to adjourn the regular meeting of the Village Board at 8:10 pm.
