Our parents and forefathers experienced the beginnings of an era of major political, economic, technological and social change. This age of transition can be seen vividly in Northern Illinois in the five year span of 1913-1918. LAKE VILLA, an affluent resort town, with the Lehmanns, a railroad, hotels and ice house experienced a number of unique changes.
Lake Villa Historical Society and Museum is located at 223 Lake Avenue.
Membership meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month (except July and December). Business meetings are held at 223 Lake Avenue at 6:30 p.m. with programs at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
