2022 Comprehensive Plan

On January 3rd, 2022, The Lake Villa, Village Board adopted the 2022 Comprehensive Plan.  The Comprehensive Plan:

  1. Expresses the Village’s vision, shared values and priorities
  2. Establishes policies for the Village to make sound land use decisions such as zoning and infrastructure investments
  3. Defines goals, strategies and projects
  4. Assists in recruiting partners to assist with implementation –public agencies, organizations, and neighboring communities
  5. Outlines an action plan for short, medium, and long-term implementation
  6. Provides support to pursue grants to fund projects

The 2022 Comprehensive Plan includes numerous components towards long-range planning for Lake Villa, including a future land use map, economic development goals, parks and open space goals, motorized and non-motorized transportation plans, and other infrastructure goals.
