LRS' Leaf Collection program in the Village of Lake Villa is set to begin October 20th, 2025 and run for six weeks until December 1st, 2025. During this time, residents will be able to rake leaves to the ditch/curb line. Leaves should be left in piles no wider than three feet, remain unbagged, and be within four feet of the ditch/curb line. LRS' equipment is designed for leaves, leaf piles should not include non-leaf yard waste or heavy objects. Further, LRS notes that it is crucial to avoid culverts, sewer openings and other obstructions in order to avoid drainage issues.
