Annual Leaf Vacuuming Services

Waste Management’s annual leaf vacuuming services for the Village of Lake Villa will begin on Monday, October 24, 2022 and will continue through December 3, 2022.

Village residents are asked to rake leaves to the curb where vacuum trucks will collect them. Leaves should be placed in the parkway, as close to the curb or street as possible, but NOT in the street.  In areas with ditches, please do not place leaves in the ditch or street.  Twigs, apples, stones or other items mixed in with your leaves may prevent Waste Management from collecting your leaves.

Village residents should have their leaves to the curb by 6:00 a.m. on the Monday of each collection week to ensure they are collected. Leaf collection does not necessarily take place the same day as your garbage collection.

Waste Management will make six trips throughout the Village to collect leaves.  Leaves will be picked up along every street and road within the Village on each trip. Each pass through the Village may take several days. Village residents are reminded that once the collection truck makes its run in your neighborhood, it will not return to collect any additional leaves until the next week.

Waste Management will make every effort to collect leaves along each Village roadway every week. However, factors such as weather or large volumes of leaves may slow down collection.

If you have any questions, please call the Village Hall at 847-356-6100.
