Traffic is planned to be switched onto the new bridge, and East Bound Lanes opened on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
Two-way traffic will be maintained for the rest of the project.
The construction work will continue through the summer and include pavement widening, curb and driveway placement, storm sewer improvements, grading, landscaping, and sidewalk improvements.
Work will be completed with flaggers, who will control traffic during construction as required.
Starting Friday, April 26, 2024, the underground subcontractor will start storm sewer work on the north side of Grand Avenue. The work will start on the west end of the project.
